Rebuilding the world's largest greenhouse experiment for EW

The world's largest greenhouse experiment for enhanced weathering is leveling up!

After dismantling all but 80 pots from our old 2023/2024 experiment with 400 pots we are now building the new 2025/2026 experiment which will not only fill our previous greenhouse, but also an additional greenhouse - we are doubling the experiment in size.

As of today the first 360 of >500 new pots have been set up. Below is a short documentary video about our work. You can see in detail how our pots are built. Until the end of the summer we plan to use in total more than 30 soils from around the world combined with more than 20 rock dusts. This will eventually fill up the second greenhouse. Here is a description of the new experiment design.

There is also a video of the preparation work for the soils from a 2 weeks ago.

By the way

The photo below shows our scientific treasure: more than 2,000 soil samples taken from our enhanced weathering experiments (greenhouse and outdoors) since early 2022. Thousands of hours of (wo)men-power, hundred thousands of Euros, the support of the EW science and the EW startup community and an immense amount of grit and endurance was necessary for this!

We are looking forward to review the lab results from our treasure soon!
